Established in November 2002, Public Management School is composed of Labor and Social Security and Public Administration Departments . In 1986 Master's in the national economy establish labor and social security direction . In 1993 the whole country officially enrolled full-time undergraduate ordinary labor and social security professional, In 1998 National Professional Catalog adjustments , our school was one of the eight institutions which were identified as eligible to enroll the first batch of the new Labor and Social security professionals by the Ministry of National Education . Public Administration Department was found in 1986,when the original State Education Commission approval of undergraduate enrollment, in 1990 approved the establishment of Master's administration. Our school includes labor Economic Research Institute, Social Security Institute, the Institute of Administration, Human Resources Management Research Center, community and social work research centers, the Institute of the Chinese public scrutiny and other research institutes ,and also has Hubei College of Humanities and Social Science Research Center focused on employment and re-employment Research Center .
The number of teacher at our school is 53，which includes 10 professors, 10 associate professors, Dr. (including reading) 43 ,the ratio of a master's degree and above qualifications of the teaching and administrative staff of winners was 90% , the average age was 37 years old. With Social Security Institute study, labor economics, the national economy of the three-point and labor economics, economic science, enterprise management (human resources direction) and the Master's three public administration master's degree level subjects, our school also has a master's degree of public management professionals (MPA) degree point. Doctoral student, undergraduate and master's degree have a total of more than 1,500 people .

In recent years, professional teachers in economic research, Finance and Trade of economic, financial studies, the Chinese administration, the Economic Daily News, and other national-level academic journal papers published more than 600 professional articles, shoulder two topics of the National Natural Science Foundation ,two topics of the National Social Science Foundation , a major bidding of The Ministry of Education philosophy and the social sciences subject , two major tender subjects of the Ministry of Education focused on the humanities and social sciences research base ,participate in the Asian Development Bank and the Ministry of Labor Social Security on an issue of international cooperation and key research projects at provincial and ministerial levels more than 40, published more than 50 academic work ; Of these more than 20 scientific research won ministerial-level government award, academic wide implications.
